Neighborhood Networking and Business by Referral (BBR) did it again! another successful networking night. In spite of the rain, it was the largest turnout yet.
The Village Tap is a local tavern in the Roscoe Village area, it has a friendly atmosphere and the food is great. A big “Thank You” goes out to Michael Greene of the Village Tap for helping make this a successful event. People were saying how they plan on coming back. The outdoor back patio has a covered awning used for the shelter in the rain and snow. The fireplace and heaters make it an all year-round place to go. This is an added bonus while living in Chicago where there is cold, rain and snow for the most part of the year.
I am looking forward to next month’s NN event in the Avondale area.

Chief O’Neill’s will host September’s event in their beer garden if it is a nice evening or in their back room depending on the weather.
This August, BBR (Business By Referral) and Neighborhood Networking are joining forces again. In addition their sponsors; The Village Tap in Roscoe Village, and Microsoft will be there to help present a summer event like no other. Hope to see you there!
The organizing workshop on July 16, was a success. I am so glad to hear from people saying that they learned alot and were happy they attended.

The Neighborhood Networking event organized by Mercury Organizing Professionals and Lidia Varesco Design was another great success! On June 24th, NN’s joint networking effort with BBR was held at Cuatro Restaurant in the South Loop area. Even though, there was threat of rain, many folks came out and ventured out of their area to make new connections. The food was fantastic, thanks to Sara Navarro at Cuatro who went above and beyond to help us make this event the success that it was. Cynthia Slade of The Shalli Company brought the very coveted raffle prize from Microsoft; the small buisness software. And last but not least, The featured exhibitor was“The Eve Project”. Heidi, a board member of the program brought information and material to explain how the program works and how one can donate.
It was great to see familiar faces at the event. It is wonderful to hear how people are choosing to comeback to this event because they find it either; effective or just simply fun. I especially enjoyed meeting all the new people attending the event. I am finding this is a wonderful way to learn more about local businesses and meeting new people. For Mercury Organizing Professionals, its been a way to demonstrate and share our organizing experiences with others. Neighborhood Networking is a unique way of seeing Chicago and meeting the local small businesses in a fun, relaxed business networking event.
Neighborhood Networking will be joining with Business by Referral Chicago (BBR) for our June event in the South Loop! Join us at Cuatro Restaurant on Wednesday, June 24th from 5–7 pm. Connect with other businesses and, as usual, sample great food. Buy your tickets here.
